Building Workscope Inspections and Reports

Damage to your home can happen in many ways, and it is often difficult to know where to start in the process of repairing your home, or what work to ask your building contractors to quote you for.

Our Residential Building Workscope Inspections and Reports cover a wide range of damages, including:

  • Flood Damage
  • Storm Damage
  • Fire Damage
  • Structural Damage Assessment
  • Accidental Damage reports

BSP provides a 24 hour/7 day emergency call out service for all structural damage assessment reports if required.

What is covered in a Building Workscope Report?

The Building Workscope Report will comprehensively document all damages, including photographic evidence and detailed material descriptions. Structural components that have been damaged are assessed for immediate faults and danger, so necessary remedial and rectification action can be taken immediately.

The report also outlines the work required to repair the damages, including building materials and quantities required, to get your home back up to the safety and building codes in WA and looking good as new. We will document whether any dangerous materials (such as asbestos) are present so that your building contractor can factor removal of such materials into their quotes. We would also create an Asbestos Registry for your property and submit it to the National Asbestos Register if necessary

All of our building workscope assessors are Registered Builders or Structural Engineers.

What are Building Workscope Reports used for?

Getting Damage Repair Quotes from Building Companies

Although most Western Australian trade contractors work to very high standards of ethics and practice, homeowners sometimes worry about asking for an assessment of the work required direct from the company completing the repairs.

Our Building Workscope Reports give you an independent assessment of the work required to repair your home. Our assessors have no vested interest in adding additional work to the project.

This report can then be used as a tender document to get quotes from various builders for completion of the work outlined in the report. Our Building Workscope Reports have proven to be easily understood by building companies, allowing them to quickly and easily provide accurate quotations for the repairs required.

Will your repairs be covered by your insurance provider?

Alternatively, if you intend for your insurance company to pay for the repairs to your home, you will require an Insurance Assessment Workscope Report, which will outline to your insurance company the cause and extent of the repairs required, so they can assess whether repairs are covered under your agreement, and how much they are required to payout.
